Terms of Service

Lettd is a Making Tax Digital (MTD) software service for UK landlords, governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using Lettd you agree to these terms.

Lettd provides digital record-keeping for rental income and expenses, quarterly HMRC submissions via the MTD API, year-end tax summaries, and deadline reminders.

Lettd costs £49 per year (plus VAT where applicable). A full refund is available within 14 days if you have not submitted any quarterly updates. Your subscription renews automatically each year — we'll email you before renewal.

You are responsible for: entering accurate income and expense data, meeting HMRC deadlines, keeping your login credentials secure, confirming your MTD eligibility, and your tax liability to HMRC.

Lettd is software, not a tax adviser. We help you format and submit data to HMRC — we do not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. If you need professional advice, consult a qualified accountant.

By using Lettd, you authorise us to submit data to HMRC on your behalf. Once submitted to HMRC, a submission cannot be deleted — only amended. Lettd is not liable for HMRC system outages or rejected submissions caused by inaccurate data.

You must not: submit false or misleading data to HMRC, access another user's account, reverse-engineer or copy the software, use automated bots to access the service, or use Lettd for any illegal purpose.

Our liability to you is capped at the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses, HMRC penalties, or fines resulting from your actions or inaccurate data.

We do not guarantee 100% uptime. If we need to terminate the service, we'll give you 30 days' notice and issue a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of your subscription.

You can close your account at any time. Your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our privacy policy.

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
